Shadab Khan decides to raise funds for Pakistan athletes

Karachi: Pakistan’s limited-overs captain Shadab Khan has come forward for country’s athletes and has decided to set up a fund for them to make them prepare for Olympics 2024.

The 22-year-old Shadab announced this after weightlifter Talha Talib stunned fans by attaining fifth position in 67 kg category of weightlifting competition of Tokyo Olympic 2020. He requested people to join him in this cause.

“Within the next year, I pledge to set up a fund for Pakistan’s Olympic’s athletes in preparation for the next Olympics,” he tweeted.

“Looking at people like Talha Talib, we all should play our part in supporting Pakistan’s heroes. Please join me for Pakistan,” he added.

It must be noted that only 10 athletes from Pakistan are participating in Olympics while Pakistan last won a medal in 1992.
