Shadab, Shaheen withdraw from ‘The Hundred’


KARACHI: Leg-spinner Shadab Khan and pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi will not be available for ‘The Hundred’ due to national duty. 

The inaugural edition of the newly introduced ‘The Hundred’ will kick off on July 21 this year followed by the final on August 21. During this time period, Shadab and Shaheen will be with the national team in West Indies.

Pakistan is scheduled to play five T20Is and two Tests against West Indies in their backyard from July 27 to August 20.

Shadab was picked up by Southern Brave and Shaheen was to represent Birmingham Phoenix in England’s new franchise league. Now, only Pakistani player Mohammad Amir will play in The Hundred. He will play for London Spirit.
