Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan and PCB’s Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi are seemingly at loggerheads over Moin Khan’s casino visit case.
According to reports, Shahayar held the opinion to call Moin back home after the chief selector has been involved in a scandal following his visit to a casino in Christchurch before Pakistan match against West Indies.
But Sethi, another board’s top official, was adamant that Moin should stay with the team.
Shaharyar has also announced that an investigation was underway in Moin’s case and decision would be taken after the outcome of the inquiry.
However, Moin Khan has now accepted that he visited the casino to eat and not for gambling.
Moin had initially denied that he visited the casino but after his video at the casino went viral, Moin changed his stance and said that he only went there to search for team players, who he alleged were there. However, he finally has confessed that he did go to casino to eat.
It was expected that PCB would take a decision on Tuesday after Moin’s confession but according to reports the PCB top brass are unable to reach consensus whether to call Moin back or let him stay with the team.
