Shahbaz asks Khokhar to appoint new and strong team management

The secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Shahbaz Ahmed Senior on Monday said that only the change in the current system of the federation can bring back hockey on the right track.

While talking to the media Shahbaz said that the entire system of the PHF needs to get changed in order to revive the lost pride of the national game.

“There are a lot of things which should be changed in the federation’s set up to get the things in the right order for Pakistan hockey,” he said.

Ahmed said that the PHF’s president should appoint new team management prior to the FIH Pro Hockey League and ask them to develop a strong team for future assignments.

“A new and strong team management is required to put the team back on the track,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the former hockey Olympian Shahbaz Ahmed Senior on December 29 stepped down as secretary of the PHF.
