Pakistan’s former flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi backed Naseem Shah to make the most of an opportunity after Pakistan bowled out for 240 runs on Day one of the opening Test at Brisbane on Thursday.
“He has the prime opportunity to make his debut memorable. He should come out with an aggressive approach tomorrow and avail this opportunity with full strength,” Afridi said in a video on his official Youtube channel.
The former captain expressed disappointment over the Pakistan team’s batting performance. “Our batting once again collapsed. They started of well but a sudden collapsed took them down quickly. The team management should look into this concerning matter,” he highlighted.
Afridi praised Australians for their positivity during the game. He said that the Australians at their home ground keep opponents busy. “I have played against them at their backyard. I know how well they are there. They play positively and especially they keep you busy in the field,” Afridi recalled.
It must be noted here that Pakistan were bowled out for 240 runs on Day 1. Asad Shafiq top-scored with 76 runs off 134 balls.
