Karachi: Pakistan’s former international cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi has bought Mushfiqur Rahim’s bat to help him putting efforts to support COVID-19 affectees in his country.
According to details, Afridi bought Rahim’s bat, which he put at auction on April 19, for USD 20,000. The money will be utilized in helping the needy ones in Bangladesh amid worldwide lockdown situation.
Bangladeshi cricketer took to Twitter to thank his former counterpart and posted a video in which Afridi shared the reason behind this positive gesture.

Afridi appreciated Rahim for making efforts to help his countrymen in this difficult time. “The real-life heroes are the ones who help people around them,” he said. “By buying this bat on behalf of Pakistanis, I want to become a part of your efforts in this hard time,” he added.
It must be noted here that Afridi is making efforts under the banner of the ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ to help needy people in the country. He ran long-lasting ration drive in the rural areas to help families.
