Shahid Afridi to serve legal notice to Javed Miandad

KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has decided to take Javed Miandad to court due to match fixing allegations hurled at him from the former legendary batsman.

According to reports Shahid Afridi will send a legal notice to Javed Miandad in order to seek clarification as to why he was accused of doing match fixing. It must be noted that over his entire career Shahid Afridi has never been associated with match fixing.

Shahid Afridi’s farewell match issue is making the headlines from quite a while and now the Punjab Assembly has also decided to chip by filing a petition to give the all-rounder a farewell match. The petition was brought forward by member assembly Sadia Sohail Rana. On this occasion she said that Afridi has been a great servant for Pakistan cricket and he has made the country proud on international forums which is why it is imperative that the flamboyant cricketer gets a farewell match before he finally brings the curtain down on his career.

Earlier Javed Miandad criticized the former captain over his farewell match issue and said that he is just wants the match for money. Javed further said that Shahid Afridi was also involved in match fixing.

Shahid had responded to Miandad’s allegations during an event in Karachi Shahid Afridi where he said that the legendary batsman is always after money and this is precisely the difference between him and Imran Khan.
