Shamsi receives maiden call from South Africa for the tri-series


South Africa has announced their squad for the upcoming tri-series in the Caribbean against the West Indies and Australia. The 26-years old Chinaman from Johannesburg Tabraiz Shamsi is included in the squad after his impressive performance in the domestic circuit.

Proteas has rested their star pacer Dale Steyn for the tour due to his recent struggle with the shoulder injury, he was unable to lead South African attack against India and England.

On the other hand, Proteas’ T20 skipper Faf Du Plessis broke his ring finger during the IPL two weeks ago. He will miss the first game for South Africa against West Indies on June 3rd.

The left-arm fast bowler, Wayne Parnell has also earned a recall after his brilliant performance in domestic games.
