Multan: Sharjeel Khan (77) and Khurram Manzoor (50) drove Sindh to first win by seven wickets against Central Punjab (CP) in sixth match of the National T20 Cup 2020.
Set to chase 155 runs in 20 overs, Sindh got the strong support of Sharjeel and Khurram who left opponent’s bowlers helpless. They both scored 134 runs together to put Sindh in the driving seat.
Azam Khan struck two sixes in second last over of Ehsan Adil to further ease the chase for Sindh. He scored 13 runs off six deliveries.
For CP, Ehsan took two wickets while Naseem Shah bagged just one.
Earlier, Abid Ali smashed 58 runs off 41 balls to help CP post 154 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs after winning the toss and deciding to bat first. Abid struck six boundaries and a six during his stay at the crease.
Qasim Akram and Usman Qadir played cameos of 20 runs each to help already struggling CP to post a competitive total on the scoreboard.
