Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Usman Khan Shinwari considers Rawalpindi Express [Shoaib Akhtar] as his role model due to his ability of bowling at such a pace and taking wickets.
Shinwari while talking to the Pakpassion.net said that Akhtar was one of the fastest bowlers the world of cricket has ever seen.
“The only bowler I have followed in my life is Akhtar. I really follow him and try to learn his tactics while bowling,” he said.
Shinwari, who recently made a debut in the Big Bash League (BBl) in Australia representing Melbourne Renegades, said that it was a great experience playing one of the most popular league around the world.
“Every cricketer dreams off playing in such leagues and obviously I am lucky to play BBL,” he said. Shinwari was quick to add that he tried to give his best there and happy with his performance.
Representing Karachi Kings in last three season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Shinwari said that PSL has reached on new heights but comparing it with BBL will be too early because it is a well-established league.
“Both the leagues are excellent and provide players a solid platform to showcase their talent,” he said.
