Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Usman Shinwari is all set to make his presence for the Melbourne make in the Australia-based Big Bash League (BBL), scheduled from December 19 to February 17.
One of the prominent franchises of BBL, Melbourne Renegades via their official Twitter account made an announcement of signing Shinwari and England’s Harry Gurney to charge their team’s pace battery.
Shinwari, who played 13 T20Is for Pakistan, will be playing the Australian league for the very first time.
The 24-years-old said that he has been watching BBL since last few years and now really excited to become a part of it.
“Watching BBL always make me excited and I’ve been impressed with the quality of the competition,” Shinwari said.
On the other hand, Renegade’s coach Andrew McDonald coined the signings of Shinwari and Gurney balance too crucial for them.
“I think these both left-arm pacers will add quality to our team’s pace bowling department,” said McDonald who is optimistic for his team’s performance in the upcoming season of the BBL.
