Pakistan’s former fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar told a female Indian anchor to talk to him with respect as she tried to make fun of Pakistan’s defeat on September 19th against India.
As a private Indian news channel invited Shoaib Akhtar as an analyst to talk ahead of the second Indo-Pak contest of Asia Cup, she tried to connect India’s cleaning campaign with how the Men in Blue defeated their arch-rivals, calling it a ‘dhulai’.
After the listening the question patiently, Akhtar responded saying he is a cricketer, ask him cricket related question rather than giving random analogies.
“I don’t know what your name is madam, but I respect you a lot, if you will respectfully ask me questions, only then I can answer them, I cannot understand your terms like ‘dhulai’,” he responded.
The anchor asked the aggressive bowler to not get angry and comment about Pakistan’s preparations for the second game against the neighbouring country.
Akhtar once again told the anchor to remember who she is talking to.
“Ask me such question and I will answer,” he said. “You are not talking to a club cricketer from Haryana with whom you will talk like this, please realise with whom you are talking to.”
