Shoaib Akhtar suggests Indo-Pak cricket match amid lockdown situation

Islamabad: Pakistan’s former Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar suggested organizing India-Pakistan cricket match to give much-needed entertainment to people across the world in the current tough situation.

“The entire world is suffering through tough times and people are trying to get rid of the situation. I think we need to create some better opportunities to divert people to something interesting while being in quarantine at home and for me, India vs Pakitan — a cricket match can fill that gap. See, people are at home and if such a contest happens it will serve a great cause,” he said.

“It can be a fund-raising match as both countries need a lot of money to help their people come out of this situation. And also, people will get a chance to watch players like Babar Azam and Virat Kohli playing against each other,” he added.

It must be noted here that all major sports events have been postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic. Countries are under lockdown situation with all public gatherings strictly prohibited.
