Shoaib Akhtar urges people to help each other in tough time

Karachi: Pakistan’s former Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar urged people to think above religion, caste, language and support each other as the whole world is going through a tough time.

In a video on his Youtube channel, Akhtar highlighted the only way to fight with coronavirus is to come on one page and work as a unit.

“This is the time when there must not be any difference among people anyway. We all should help each other and try to get rid of this global crisis together,” he said.

Akhtar said that governments especially in third world countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka can’t fight solely with this widely-spread virus. “Pakistan lacks resources so are India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. I have visited all these countries and I know how difficult will it be for us to overcome this problem,” he said.

“I think people should come forward and help those people who are in need. At the same time, we should cooperate with the government in every way to avoid spreading the virus,” Akhtar added.

It must be noted here that the country is going through a tough phase due to the current world pandemic. All cricket activities are suspended for an indefinite period of time. All the cricketers have been advised to stay at home and adopt all safety measures to combat COVID-19.
