Silva ton takes Sri Lanka to 252/5 against Pakistan

GALLE: Kaushal Silva scored an unbeaten century on the third day of the Galle Test match against Pakistan as the hosts are batting at 252/5 on Friday, reports.

Right handed batsman Silva scored his century off 261 balls which included 15 boundaries.

Meanwhile, the hosts lost two wickets in the first session of the third day’s play.

Captain Angelo Mathews was the first to be dismissed after he edged the ball back on to his stumps from the bowling of pacer Wahab Riaz after scoring 19 runs from 40 balls.

Dinesh Chandimal was also clean bowled by Zulfiqar Babar after contributing 23 runs from 59 balls.

Sri Lanka started the third day’s play at 178/3 with Kaushal Silva and Angelo Mathews batting at 80 and 10 runs.
