Karachi: New Zealand’s leg-spinner Ish Sodhi thinks that Pakistan’s limited-overs captain Babar Azam is toughest to bowl among the ‘fab five’ batsmen.
‘Fab Five’ list includes Australia’s Steve Smith, Black Caps captain Kane Williamson, Indian captain Virat Kohli and England’s Joe Root.
The 27-year-old Sodhi in an Instagram live session on Wednesday with CricTarcker named his ‘fab five’ where he ranked Babar at the top.
“I’ll go with Babar at first and Steve Smith at second. Then Kane Williamson, Virat [Kohli] and Joe Root in the end,” said Sodhi.
“Babar Azam is the toughest to bowl among the fab five. It’s tough to bowl against him especially in UAE conditions,” he added.
It must be noted that Babar is currently at No.1 in ICC T20I batsman rankings. Babar has played 74 ODIs and 38 T20Is, he has scored 3359 and 1471 runs respectively at an average of over 50 in both the formats.
In red-ball cricket, the 25-year-old batsman has amassed 1850 runs in 26 Tests and has 5 tons and 13 half-centuries.
