Lahore: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that they will not be able to send their team to Pakistan in March following players’ workload.

According to the details, South Africa will tour India for three-matches ODI series in the second week of March. They will play their last ODI on March 18 after which they were expected to wait for Pakistan Super League (PSL) to get over.

Now, the CSA following players’ workload has decided to delay their tour to Pakistan. Meanwhile, they have assured to sending their side as soon as it is reasonably possible.

PCB’s CEO Wasim Khan respected the decision taken by CSA and hopes to host South Africa soon. “We respect Cricket South Africa’s reason for not sending their side next month. Managing player workload is a top priority for any cricket board, and from that perspective, their decision is understandable,” he said.

“We are pleased that the CSA remains committed to rescheduling this short series as soon as practically possible. As there is a strong willingness and commitment, both the boards are now exploring their FTPs to find gaps so that we can agree on the dates,” he added.

It must be noted here that South Africa were scheduled to play three T20Is in Pakistan in March after PSL.
