Southern Punjab’s second XI performers to replace three Test cricketers in first XI squad


Lahore: Southern Punjab has decided to draft three players from the second XI to replace test cricketers Mohammad Irfan, Rahat Ali, and Bilawal Bhatti in the first XI squad.

Pacer Dilbar Hussain, Mohammad Imran Randhawa, and Zain Abbas are called for the second leg of the National T20 Cup tournament.

Southern Punjab led by Shan Masood is yet to win a match in the ongoing tournament, losing four in a trot. They have sent Irfan, Rahat and Bilawal Bhatti back home.

On the other hand, Abdul Wahid Bangalzai is also promoted to the Balochistan first XI side for the remaining matches after the 17-year-old performed remarkably in second XI games. He will replace experienced Imran Farhat. Young Mohammad Akhlaq will replace off-spinner Bilal Asif in the Central Punjab squad.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam will join Central Punjab for the Rawalpindi leg while Imad Wasim is also likely to be back in the Northern squad as he was in England to represent Notts Outlaws in the Blast T20.
