SBP decides to appreciate services of wrestler Din Mohammad

Lahore: Sports Board Punjab (SBP) has decided to appreciate the services of Asian Games gold medalist wrestler Din Mohammad, ARY Sports reported today.

Din Mohammad won a gold medal at the 1954 Asian Games and a few days ago complained that he was not well received by the concerned authorities for his contributions.

He is the first Pakistani athlete to have the unique honor of winning a gold medal for the country in an international competition.

Punjab Sports Minister Taimur Khan has said that the government pays tribute to Din Muhammad for his services.

“The admiration of national heroes cannot be ignored. These legends have made the country proud globally,” he said.

He assured that SBP would extend all possible help to Din Muhammad and further announced that his picture will be displayed in SBP’s Wall of Fame.
