Squash Federation interested in hosting more international events in Pakistan

Islamabad: The General Secretary of Squash Federation of Pakistan Group Captain Amir Nawaz has said “The Federation is interested in establishing international tournaments in the country. During the current year 3 tournaments will be held at the Pakistan Sports Complex and top-rank players will be invited for this event. We are in contact with the Professional Squash Association and the World Squash Federation regarding this matter. We will be providing an opportunity for the junior and senior players to improve their ranking by playing with foreign players and with better facilities.”

While expressing his views at the Mushaf Squash Complex, he said “The conditions are very favorable for hosting international events and all possible measures will be adopted to provide fool proof security to the foreign players.” International squash events have already begun in Pakistan and the Professional Squash Association has already given a green signal for hosting 3 international events during the current year. We hope that top-rank players would participate in these events.

He said for all international events held under the World Squash Federation the selection of players is done on pure merit, our objective is to provide opportunity to the best talent available to represent his country, the job of the Federation is to provide facilities and we are doing so by providing them maximum opportunity to participate in international events. It’s for the players to show their best performance in the field. We are hopeful that we will gradually proceed towards producing better and better results.
