Sri Lanka Cricket budgeting for Pakistan’s home series against WI

Due to rising cost of hosting home series in UAE, PCB has weighed the option of making Sri Lanka their new second home, to serve the purpose, PCB has sought financial estimates from Sri Lanka cricket for the upcoming West Indies tour.

Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary, Mohan De Silva has confirmed that the Pakistan Cricket Board has approached them, “Yes, they have approached us. We will put the budget together and send it back to them. It will depend on whether it is a financially viable option for them to host a series here.”

Apart from the cost of venues and accommodation, another issue that the PCB needs to keep in view, is the weather of Sri Lanka as the country hit heavily by Monsoon in the months of October and November.

Sri Lanka was the team that was attacked by terrorists in Lahore after which Pakistan became deprived of international cricket.
