Fast bowler Dale Steyn and wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock have been recalled to the South Africa ODI squad to play the remaining three matches against Pakistan.
The Proteas selectors have announced the squad on Thursday, the left-arm pacer Beuran Hendricks has also earned a call up to the side who is yet to make his debut in the 50-over format, having last featured for his country in October 2017.
The trio will come in place of pacers Duanne Olivier, Dane Paterson and wicket-keeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen.
South African selection panel convener, Linda Zondi said, “We are well aware of what Duanne, Dane and Heinrich are capable of and in Duanne’s case we are mindful of the amount of bowling he has done at the top level over the past month and want to give him a bit of a break ahead of the Test series against Sri Lanka.”
On Tuesday, South Africa beat Pakistan in the second one-day international in Durban to level their five-match series by 1-1.
The third match of the five-match ODI series will be played on Friday.
