The Sultan of Swing, Wasim Akram has said that the most successful Pakistani Test captain Misbah Ul Haq and Pakistan’s only World Cup winning captain Imran Khan, should not be compared.
Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan drawn comparison between the two saying Misbah is a better captain than Imran Khan.
“Imran Khan is my mentor. There is no compassion between Imran Khan and Misbah,” said Wasim Akram during a morning show of a private channel.
The 43-year old has captained Pakistan in 55 Test matches, where they won 25 games and ended up on a losing side on 19 occasions.
The number of wins makes Misbah the most successful Test captain of Pakistan ahead of Imran Khan’s 21 wins as the captain.
However, the 1992 World Cup win is a feather in Khan’s cap along with the star studded Pakistan team that he left behind that ruled the world in era of 90s.
