Table-toppers Multan Sultans to take on Quetta Gladiators


The table-toppers of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five, Multan Sultans will go head to head against Quetta Gladiators at Multan Cricket Stadium in today’s first fixture.

Sultans are looking strong after two straight wins at their own backyard. On the other hand, Gladiators, who are also on the second of the points table, are also coming with two back to back wins.

Both teams are playing their fifth match in the competition. Sultans led by Shan Masood are clicking in every department. All-rounder Moeen Ali and Shan scored the fifties in the last match. Emerging batsman Zeeshan Ashraf is also shining bright at the top. They have the most lethal spin bowling attack having the likes of Shahid Afridi, Imran Tahir, and Moeen.

Gladiators, led by Sarfaraz Ahmed will heavily rely on their batting as they have been the main element in their wins in this edition. All-rounder Ben Cutting and Mohammad Nawaz who helped their side to win from now where the last game will also hold the key.

They will also be expecting that their opening duo of Shane Watson will fire at the top. Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain are the key players with the bowl with Nawaz, their most consistent spinner since the start.

The match between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators will begin at 2 pm.
