‘T20 cricket demands experience’ says Misbah-ul-Haq

The most experienced batsman of Peshawar Zalmi Misbah-ul-Haq thinks that in T20 cricket experience matters the most and batsmen don’t get much time to settle at the crease.

While talking to ARY Sports, Misbah said that young batsmen need some time to gain exposure and they should play domestic cricket to polish their skills.

“We have batsmen like Kamran Akmal, Ahmad Shahzad, Umar Akmal who use their experience to play a long inning in short format of the game,”  said Misbah who proved himself in the ongoing fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by scoring 126 runs in three innings for Zalmi.

Misbah said praised the young bowlers like Mohammad Husnain, Mohammad Musa, Haris Rauf who showed their power and proved their mettle on a big platform like PSL where World’s renowned cricketers are taking part.

“These youngsters are talented but they should get a proper path to develop as a mature bowler,” said Misbah who is considered as one of the greatest captains Pakistan have ever got.

Misbah’s hopes are high that his team Zalmi will clinch the PSL’s coveted trophy for the second team. “We have a formidable side as you have seen our batters fighting till the last moment in the last match,” said Misbah while praising Sammy and Pollard who showed their dominance against Quetta Gladiators in the first qualifier of this season of the PSL.
