Peshawar Zalmi will face Islamabad United in the twenty-first match of the PSL 4 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, where they will look to maintain their dominance in the tournament.
With four wins out of six games, Peshawar has climbed to the top spot in tournament’s point table, while Islamabad is at the second position having won four games out of seven.
Islamabad United’s campaign so far has been pretty irregular but they are coming off one of their better performances where they did well to restrict Karachi Kings to just 168/8, Asif Ali played a magnificent inning of 70 runs to lift the morale of his team.
The last time both teams met, Islamabad United won the match by 12 runs. United have been successful in ending on the right side of the line in all of their last three matches against Peshawar Zalmi.
Islamabad’s Luke Ronchi scored the most runs – 224 in seven matches at an average of 37.33 with two fifties. He is also leading the list of highest run-getters in the PSL4.
On the other hand Peshawar Zalmi, Imam-ul-Haq made the most runs – 137 in five matches at an average of 34.25 with two half-centuries.
It would be a surprise if either of them did not manage to make the knockout phase. Both teams are coming off a win last time out and a victory here will go a long way to sealing a top-four spot.
