Tayyab Tahir scored 51 runs to help Lahore Regions White outclass Peshawar by nine wickets in their sixth match of the National T20 Cup at Multan Stadium on Thursday.
Tahir struck four boundaries and two sixes to help Lahore W dominate with the bat while chasing a paltry total of 100 runs in 20 overs.
Peshwar showcased poor show with the bat as they managed just 99 runs losing eight wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Saad Ali fought hard for Peshawar scoring 36 runs while Sajid Khan supported him well with 34 runs including a boundary.
Umaid Asif starred the show with splendid figures of 4-13 while Zafar Gohar took three wickets conceding just 12 runs.
In reply, Lahore W chased the target in 15th over with the help of Tayyab Tahir (51) and Zeeshan Ashraf (39). Sajid Khan was the only bowler for Peshawar to take a wicket.
Lahore Regions Blue overpowered FATA by nine wickets in the second match of day 11 of the event. FATA while batting first put 140-9 on the scoreboard.
Sohail Akhtar made 39 runs laced with three boundaries and two sixes while Asad Afridi scored 25 runs with the help of a boundary and two sixes.
Hussain Talat bagged three wickets and Waqas Ahmed took two scalps for Lahore B.
Lahore in return reached the target with losing just a wicket. Rizwan Hussain smashed 68 runs spread over ten boundaries. Talat, who got the man-of-the-match award, scored 35 runs.
Khushdil Shah was the lone wicket taker for FATA who lost their fourth match of the tournament.
