Karachi: Former Pakistan pacer Tanvir Ahmed has advised Pakistan’s limited-overs captain Babar Azam to improve his English and overall personality.
The 41-year-old congratulated Babar on his appointment and highlighted few challenges that he will face in his captaincy tenure.
“Try to improve your personality. By personality, I mean a person can change his dressing sense. Babar Azam also needs to improve his English, which is a necessity,” Tanvir said while speaking on his Youtube channel.
“Whenever someone becomes a captain, he has to talk during the toss and post-match presentation. Plus, he will also give interviews on various channels when he tours different countries,” he added.
While speaking on his Youtube channel, the 41-year-old also emphasized that Babar needs to maintain his fitness levels. “A leader needs to be punctual and organized as the players follow the captain. He should also maintain his fitness level, because if the captain himself isn’t fit, then he can’t advise other players on improving their fitness,” he added.
Tanvir also wants Babar to be mentally strong as if his forms dips a bit, it will invite lots of criticism from everywhere. He concluded by congratulating Babar and termed it as a great achievement for the 25-year-old.
