Tanvir Ahmed suggests PCB to play T20 series against Bangladesh only

Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed has suggested Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should play the T20I series only against Bangladesh if they are willing to play only the shorter format in Pakistan.

While giving his views on his YouTube channel, Tanvir thinks PCB should not show a severe attitude towards the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) because in this case, the T20 series could be under danger too.

“PCB was thinking that if Sri Lanka has played all formats in Pakistan so Bangladesh would also play here but PCB must understand that Sri Lanka also initially came for white-ball and again came here for the Tests after viewing the security. PCB should follow the same strategy with Bangladesh too,” Tanvir said.

He said that PCB should understand the example of Pakistan Super League (PSL) which came back to Pakistan completely at a slow pace.

“The approach PCB used to bring PSL in Pakistan should be followed in this scenario as well. Initially, overseas players were reluctant to come but now they have agreed to play in Pakistan,” He added.

Tanvir, who played five Tests for Pakistan emphasized that playing the T20I series in Pakistan is the best way to convince Bangladesh to play Test series here in the future too.

“PCB didn’t create a healthy relationship with the other boards after the 2009 incident. I would like to urge Bangladesh people to convince the cricket board as Pakistan is safe and secure,” He concluded.
