Pakistan and New Zealand contested in a thrilling Test match, which the visitors won by four runs courtesy of the Men in Geen’s habit of crumbling while chasing.
Pakistan were cruising towards the low total of 176 runs with 130/4, however, the debutante Aijaz Patel claimed a five-wicket haul to halt Pakistan at 171/10.
Though Pakistan lost the opening Test of the three-match series, which gave New Zealand a 1-0 lead, but it once again highlighted how exciting the longest format of the game can be and how a five-day game changes upside down in merely a session.
Former India’s batting maestro, Virender Sehwag took Twitter to say that Test is the best format.

Another Indian batting legend, VVS Laxman also talked about the first Test between Pakistan and Blackcaps and called it a memorable Test.
A test match to remember for a long time. An outstanding effort from New Zealand to win this after being out of the game for so long. Their never-say- die attitude is so wonderful and Test Cricket is well and truly alive #PakvNZ
