Test Rating: Younus consolidates 6th position

New Test rating shows no changes in Pakistani player’s positions. Veteran Younus Khan  firmly clinches  6th position, while leg spinner Yasir shah is at number 4.

According to details,  ICC’s latest ranking shows Younus Khan retaining his 6th position, Steven Smith is at the top, AB de Villiers at number 2 and J.E Root at 3rd position respectively. For the first time Indian player Cheteshwar Pujara succeeds in taking position amongst the top 20. Pujara while Playing against Sri Lanka in the 3rd test came at 20th position through a  single 4 step leap  by scoring a  145  not out.  Capt Kohli despite making his team win slipped to 11th position losing a step.

Rohit Sharma improved 2 positions to reach 48th position, Ashwin came up 5 positions to grab 50th position, Amit Mishra  took a quick jump of 56 steps  to reach 91th position. Sri Lanka’s Dimuth Karunaratne lost 6 positions and went down to 38th. In bowling D.W Steyn retains his title reigning at the top, Stewart Broad is at number 2, Trent Bolt at 3 and Pakistani leg spinner Yasir Shah is at 4th position.

James Enderson at 5th, Mitchell Johnson 6th, V.D Philander 7th, Ashwin 8th, Rangana Herath 9th and Tim Southee  at 10th position, Ishant after improving 3 steps is at 18th position, similar improvement made by Sri Lankan pacer Dhammika Prasad brings him to 22nd position, Nuwan Pradeep  improves 12 steps to reach 57th position. Among the all rounders, cricketer Shakib al Hassan of Bangladesh remains at the  top, while Ashwin at number 2  and Philander at number 3 position.
