Pakistan’s former allrounder, Shahid Afridi has refused to take a farewell from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) due to his personal commitments.
Shahid Afridi recently met the Chairman Executive Committee of PCB, Najam Sethi in Dubai, where they discussed farewell plans, however, the star allrounder has refused to take it now.
Former Pakistan captain is happy with the way the board is giving send off to the legendary duo of Test captain Misbah Ul Haq and the highest Test run scorer Younis Khan.
Afridi said in a tweet that he just wanted to set a trend for proper farewells and he is extremely happy for Misbah and Younis.
My desire was to set a new trend. I’m very happy that Misbah&Younis are getting proper farewells. I hope this trend will continue in future.

In response, Najam Sethi has also shown utter respect for the hard hitting batsman and promised to hold a grand farewell for him as well.
We respect @SAfridiOfficial decision not to play Farewell match. PCB will organise grand farewell for Lala like Misbah and Younas. 3 Heroes!
