Pakistan’s opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad has denied the news that he broke the glass of dressing room in frustration after missing out on a century against Balochistan during Pakistan Cup.
Shehzad, who was made captain of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa side after Younis Khan’s sudden decision to leave the tournament, was dismissed for 79 runs off 70 and rumors stated he broke the glass in frustration.
Shehzad, while talking to ARY News, said that such rumors are not true and added that his bag was place by the side of the glass and while keeping his bat over there he accidentally broke the glass. Shehzad said that he wanted to clear the air and controversy that was brewing because he is the captain of the side and he feels that it is his responsibility to clarify such a situation.
Ahmed Shehzad also said that the news regarding PCB’s decision to fine the right handed opener was also not true as he has received no such notice from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
