A year-long wait for Pakistan Super League’s fans is over as the fourth season of the successful cricketing event will start from Thursday, February 14 at Dubai.
The fourth episode of the star-studded league will kick off with a glittering opening ceremony, which will feature local and international performers including Pitbull, Junoon, Fawad Khan, Young Desi, Aima Baig, Shuja Haider and Boney M.
The ceremony will be followed by an entertaining encounter between the reigning PSL champions Islamabad United and a new-looking Lahore Qalandars.
Islamabad United will be playing under a new captain, Mohammad Sami, while for the first time, they will not have the experienced Misbah Ul Haq in their dressing room,
On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars will be hoping for a change of fortunes under Mohammad Hafeez’s leadership and in the presence of world-class players AB de Villiers, Corey Anderson and others.
Islamabad United have won the tournament twice, the first and the third editions of the league. Darren Sammy’s Peshawar Zalmi lifted the gold in the PSL 2017.
The tournament will feature 34 games in total, out of which eight matches will be staged in Pakistan. Lahore will host three contests, whereas, five games including the all-important final will be played at the National Stadium Karachi on March 17.
