Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Selector Inzamam Ul Haq has said that there will be major changes in the team before the tour to West Indies and only good performers will stay in the side.
“I will not take names, but there will be big changes in the team,” Inzamam told media. “Players with best performances will be in the team, and new players will come into the side following the conclusion of the second edition of Pakistan Super League,” he added.
Inzamam Ul Haq stated that he selected the best possible team for Australia’s tour and he also took opinions from head coach and captain.
“I was the one who selected the squad for the [Australia] tour, but coaches and captains were also given their say in the matter,” he said. “We picked the best team for the tour [Down Under].”
The Men in Green had a disastrous outing in Australia where they lost the Test series by 3-0 and the ODI series by 4-1.
Talking about Mohammad Hafeez’s selection for the tour, Inzamam said, ” Hafeez was the country’s best ODI player [for the past year], so the argument of adding him thoughtlessly is incorrect.”
