Pakistan’s fast bowler Imran Khan was talking to media after the day’s play at the end of day 3 in Abu Dhabi (via Khaleej times). He said that the pitch was slow and had not much in it for the fast bowlers. Also he said they dropped a couple of chances which is a criminal offense on this sort of pitch and searing heat.
“It was a slow pitch and I was bowling wicket to wicket. We also missed a couple of chances and some catches went down. But then, we did manage to contain them,”
“This is what Test matches are all about (toiling hard). But we have to work hard on such pitches. This is our job,” he added.
He said that he is working with the coaching staff to improve his bowling and to become a better bowler in such conditions. He added that he has been working in the national academy in Peshawar back home to add more skill and variety to his bowling armory.
“Mushtaq Ahmed and Waqar Younis are working on me. It is a new start for me and I hope I can carry on doing well and help Pakistan,”
“I have been working on my bowling and been working on my length at the NCA in Peshawar. I hope to improve my bowling,” said Imran.
