Pakistan’s junior squash players dazzled in Asian Junior Squash Championship as they won three gold medals and a silver medal in the campaign taking place in India.
Mohammad Hamza Khan claimed the U-15 title in the tournament by defeating Arnav Sareen in straight sets 11-6, 11-9 and 11-9.
On the other hand, Haris Qasim dominated the U-17 category in the championship as he got the better of his Malaysian counterpart, Amir Azhar by 10/12, 8/11, 11/9, 11/5, 11/9.
Abbas Zeb absolutely outclassed Hong Kong’s Chung Yat in the final of U-19 category with a score of 11/4, 11/3,11/4.
However, Pakistan missed out on a gold medal in U-13 category as Anas Ali Shah lost his match against India’s Yuvraj Wadhwani.
Seven junior squash players represented Pakistan in the championship, which took place from September 16 to 19, with their coach, Fazal Shah
