KARACHI: Pakistan shooting team has been stuck in Croatia on their way back after participating in Shooting World Cup there.
According to the details, four shooters and their manager Razi Ahmed are stuck in Croatia after a sudden change in the plan of the flights due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“We came here to particpate in Shooting World Cup,” Razi told ARY News from Croatia. “We were scheduled to travel for Pakistan yesterday but due to a sudden change in plan, we are stuck here,” he said.
The team manager appealed to authorities to arrange their safe return to the country. “Our visas will expire today and it will create a huge problem for us. We are restricted to a local hotel here,” he shared.
It must be noted here that three out of four shooters, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir, Mohammad Khalil Akhtar, Gulfan Joseph have qualified for Tokyo Olympics 2020. The fourth one is Farrukh Nadeem. Tokyo Olympics 2020 are scheduled from 23 July to 8 August 2021.
