Two players ready to show more responsibility against Pakistan

Dhaka: Bangladesh T20I captain Mahmudullah thinks that he and Bangladesh senior batsman Tamim Iqbal has to show more responsibility against green shirts in Pakistan in the three-match T20I series starting from January 24.

While talking to reporters in the Sher-e-Bangla cricket stadium, Mahmudullah said in the absence of senior players in the team, the responsibility has increased a little bit but they are eager to repeat the performances given in the past.

“Tamim and I both feel that we have a little more responsibility, Tamim’s experience would matter a lot in the top order as he is in a good rhythm with the bat and I will also try to show more responsibilities,” he said.

The 33-year-old also said that it was a difficult decision to tour Pakistan and for this, he consulted his family.

“The decision to visit Pakistan was made after consulting the family, Pakistan has assured full security and now we will focus to win the T20I series against Pakistan,”

It must be noted that the Bangladesh team will arrive today through a special aircraft from Dhaka. BCB Director Cricket Akram Khan will also come along with the team.

The visitors will practice at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday and Mahmudullah will hold the press conference after the launch of the series trophy.
