The PCB boss, Shahryar Khan has given clearance to the 26-year Umar Akmal to get selected for the national side as per an official press release.
Shahryar Khan had a face to face meeting with the middle-order batsman and briefed him the reasons why he is being overlooked.
Umar Akmal along with the opener, Ahmed Shehzad was dropped from the national team citing behavioural issues after the report submitted by former head coach, Waqar Younis after World T20 embarrassment.
Umar Akmal has assured the Chairman PCB that he will not be involved in any misconduct in future and will play like a team-man.
After having a successful meeting with the batsman, Khan communicated the Chief Selector, Inzamam Ul Haq that he is available for selection now.
