Lahore: Some unknown resistance is being faced in Umar Akmal’s scandal case. The young batsman has not yet replied to the show cause notice says PCB Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi, whatever happened would be clear in a day or two.
On the other hand former captain Aamir Sohail considers Junior Chief Selector Basit Ali responsible for this conflict and doubts him to have passed on information to the Board on this issue. According to details while speaking to the media in Lahore the PCB Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi said a letter has already been sent to Umar Akmal asking him for an explanation but he hasn’t replied as yet. I tried to find the facts through my sources but was unable to do so, it seems some unknown resistance is there but I am hopeful things would be clear in a day or two.
He said if Umar Akmal is found innocent during the inquiry, he would certainly be allowed to play. Amir Sohail says it seems there is a communication gap between the young batsman Umar Akmal and the Board on the scandal issue. We really need to listen and consider what Umar Akmal is saying.
