Lahore: Ex- Supreme Court judge Mr. Justice (retd) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, in his capacity as an independent adjudicator, will announce the final verdict on Umar Akmal’s appeal against the three-year ban.
Akmal was handed a three-year ban after he was found guilty of breaching Article 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code in two separate incidents.
The cricketer opposed the decision and filed an appeal against the verdict. He occupied the services of Babar Awan’s law firm, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs.
Justice Khokhar will conduct a final hearing today (Wednesday) here at the National High-Performance Centre in which he will decide the future of cricketer who was suspended from all forms of the game just before the start of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5.
