Lahore: Middle-order batsman Umar Akmal has submitted his response to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Notice of Charge which was issued on 17 March.
PCB has confirmed that they have recieved Umar’s response and will not make any further comments on the matter.

“The PCB will now review and examine Umar Akmal’s response and provide further details on the next steps in due course. Until that stage, the PCB will not make any further comments on this matter,” the board announced in the press release.
The 29-year-old violated two breaches of Article 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti-Corruption-code in two unlinked incidents for which he had to respond in writing the charge.
He was suspended on February 20 after he was found involved in suspicious activities that led him not to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five.
The charges against Umar were imposed after not telling full details of approaches received by an individual to involve in corrupt conduct to the PCB security department.
