The skipper of Islamabad United Mohammad Sami is confident that his team is good at playing in pressure situations as in last three seasons of Pakistan Super League (PSL) they turned things in their favour in a do-or-die stage.
“If you see our past record, we have made a comeback in the last moments. This time also we are in a do-or-die situation and I hope the team will do well in their next match against Lahore Qalandars,” he said.
Sami is excited to play at his home ground and looking forward to leading his side from the front.
“I can’t wait to get out there in front of Karachiites who will be cheering for cricket. I would like to focus on my own performance as well,” said Sami who has taken the only hat-trick of the PSL season 4.
The right-arm bowler applauded the young fast bowlers Mohammad Musa, Muhammad Husnain and Haris Rauf for showing their strength on a platform like PSL. “PSL continues to produce quality fast bowlers which is a good sign,” said Sami who sees a bright future of Pakistan in fast bowling.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PSL’s Pakistan leg will commence from March 9 with Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars. The home team Karachi Kings will play their first match in Karachi against Quetta Gladiators on Sunday (March 10).
