Waqar Zaka hands Arshad Nadeem cash reward of PKR 1 Million

LAHORE: Social media activist Waqar Zaka fulfilled his promise and awarded PKR 1 Million to Javelin Throw Olympian Arshad Nadeem.

Arshad reached Allama Iqbal Airport this morning after participating in Tokyo Olympics 2020. The Javelin Thrower finished fifth in the Javelin Throw event of the extravaganza with a throw of 84.62m.

As per promise, Waqar reached the airport to receive the Olympian and gave him the cash reward for his commitment to Pakistan.

“I came here just to give confidence to Arshad and other athletes out there. I am not showing off by giving this money to him but it is just a message for other celebrities and people to take money out of their pockets and help these heroes of Pakistan,” he said in a video on his social media accounts.

Arshad and Talha Talib sparked outrage on social media after the two performed strongly at Olympics 2020 without proper government support. People bashed the government and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) for poor facilities for the athletes.
