Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s CEO Wasim Khan has revealed the loss of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five and Pakistan, Bangladesh series due to coronavirus.
According to sources, Wasim Khan said that PCB suffered a loss of up to RS. 20 crore due to postponement of PSL 5.
“Corona suffered us a loss of up to RS. 20 crore in PSL 5 and damage to the PCB also includes loss of gate money too,” he said.
“The postponement of the series against Bangladesh also resulted in a loss of US $ 3-4 million. A complete figure will be in front of us after two weeks,” he added.
The CEO also announced that they are viewing the possibilities of making the PSL 5 decisive. “We are considering the possibility of scheduling the rest of the PSL matches in November or a week before season six. We will soon conduct a video conference with all the franchises regarding this,” he maintained.
It must be noted that the knockout stage of PSL 5 was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.
