Lahore: All-rounder Imad Wasim has shared a very special message for the Pakistan U19 team ahead of their second fixture today at Witrand Oval in Potchefstroom in South Africa against Zimbabwe in the ICC U19 World Cup 2020.
In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the all-rounder termed this tournament as the best platform for young cricketers to get highlighted at the highest level.
“U19 cricket is the best platform to learn how to play cricket on a big stage, it is a perfect opportunity to shine in front of the cricketing world,” he said.

Imad has also captained the Pakistan junior side and there is a lot of pressure to handle as the matches are aired live. “I’ve played and captained the side in 2008, there’s a lot of pressure because you are representing youngsters from the country,” He added.
The 31-year-old thinks that captain Rohail Nazir and his deputy Haider Ali have a big role to play in this competition.
“Rohail is the captain of the side and leads from the front, he has been scoring so much of runs and same is Haider Ali, the vice-captain. They both have a huge part to play in this tournamnet,” he concluded.
It must be noted that Pakistan U19 defeated Scotland U19 in the opening fixture on Sunday by seven wickets.
