New Zealand’s players have once again proved that cricket is a gentleman’s game during their ICC U19 World Cup’s quarter-final at Benoni on Wednesday.
The U19 players of New Zealand Jesse Tashkoff and Joseph Field carried off West Indies’s cramping Kirk McKenzie. McKenzie, who was feeling immense pain on the field, was lifted in laps by both the youngsters to get off the field.
It must be noted here that McKenzie was stretched off in the 43rd over of the match and went back due to feeling cramps and pain in his right leg. McKenzie (99) showed courage to come back once again after West Indies lost their ninth wicket for 238 runs. However, he couldn’t manage the pain and focus and got out on the first ball of the last over.
