Watch: Shane Watson delighted to meet PM Imran Khan


Karachi: Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has expressed his delight after meeting the former captain and the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan in Islamabad yesterday.

The 38-year-old felt extremely special to meet the legend as PM Imran Khan is one of his cricketing heroes. “This was incredibly special for me to meet and chat with one of my cricketing heroes, the Great All-Rounder, Imran Khan.” Watson tweeted.

The renowned T20 cricketer is inspired by the life former fats bowler has lived on and off the field and also felt wonderful to hear from former West Indies captain Sir Vivian Richards and former Australian captain Greg Chappell.

“What an inspiring life he has lived on and off the cricket field!!! So amazing to hear Sir Viv, Greg Chappell and Imran relive the good old days,” he added.

PM Imran Khan met star cricketers and his old friends from the cricket world at PM House on Wednesday. PCB Director International Cricket Zakir Khan was also present on the occasion.

It must be noted here that Richards and Watson are a part of PSL’s franchise Quetta Gladiators while Chappell is on a tour of Pakistan to watch PSL matches.
