WBSC Softball Coaching Clinic kicks off in Karachi


The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Coaching Clinic 2019 has started at Karachi Gymkhana on August 22.

The event features international coaches from Malaysia and China who gave a presentation on the rules of baseball to the young coaches. WBSC’s Michael Renney also briefed the local men about the game’s rule and regulations.

According to Renney, the coaching course Level I is important to strengthen the position of coaches to officiate the game. “It is important to understand the game. there are certain rules which run the game fluently,” he said.

An outdoor session was also held on the occasion in which some foreign coaches taught the local coaches basic rules of the game.

On the other hand, sports journalists were also given a chance to attend the camp. The media personals attended the camp with an aim to get aware of the Baseball.

On the occasion, the secretary of Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) Asif Azeem said that Baseball/Softball is progressing in Pakistan as more young people taking interest in it.

“It is good to see the building interest of people about the game. We hope that in future Pakistan will participate in more international events,” he said.

He thanked the foreign coaches for visiting Pakistan and wants the local coaches to make the most of this opportunity. “I want you to learn as much as you can to make this event useful for Pakistan,” Azeem said while talking to the local coaches.
